I can’t be the only one who goes into my app store and then immediately leaves because there’s just way too many apps, categories and testimonials! This makes it difficult to see what’s new and what is an absolute must-have!
#TeamBeautiful did the work for you and checked out the store and complied and list of five apps you must-have! From shopping to dating, check out these pieces of technology that will change your life!
1. Magnetique
Magnetique launched earlier this summer and debuted in the May issue of InStyle magazine (with more magazine launches to come), and it designed to change the way readers use magazines to shop.
This amazing app converts fashion magazine readers to shoppers by providing instantaneous local retail information and other details for items that are featured editorially. Created for use with either a mobile device (iPhone and Android) or any Internet-enabled computer, the process is quite simple: If a reader sees a skirt she loves in an InStyle editorial and wants to know where she can buy it locally, instead of spending hours online or traveling from store to store to find it, she need only download the Magnetique app.
How it works: The reader can instantly “Capture” the item using the camera button on a mobile device, tap on any of the items now displayed from the page and find all the shopping details. And most importantly, Magnetique shows a list or map view of all the retailers that have the items in stock. Since Magnetique is a democratic geolocation app, the stores displayed will be those closest to the reader. A tap on the store of choice will display its phone number and address, an option to place a call to the store directly from the app or to visit its e-commerce site.
Now, when you desire an item on the editorial pages of your favorite fashion magazine, Magnetique will find that item for you—clothes, shoes, or accessories—and let you know exactly which stores have it. No frustrating and fruitless searches. If it’s available, Magnetique will lead you straight to it, in a store near you.
With one tap Magnetique delivers all the information you need to make that item yours. It pinpoints exactly which stores in your area have it, and gives you their addresses and contact info.
2. Tinder
Tinder is a new dating app that finds out who likes you nearby, and connects you with them if you’re also interested. It all started with the realization that there are many apps that connect us with people we already know, but none that do a great job of helping us meet new people.
The whole Tinder experience is designed to be familiar and emulate the way we interact in real life—digitally reproduced, enhanced, and made mobile. No more “Catfish” horror stories! Tinder connects with your Facebook and populates the people around you. You can then like or dislike the person based on their photo and if there’s a mutual match, you’re notified and boom, the rest is up to you!
3. Hell Is To Other People
Hell is Other People is almost like an app, but it uses the familiar app FourSquare to track your friends, all while avoiding the people you don’t like. HEOP tracks your friends and optimally calculates the distance between you and your non-friends. It’s basically a social media experiment.
Here’s the catch–you have to be friends with the people you want to avoid, so that the app can pick up on their locations.
4. Swipe
Similar to Tinder, Swipe allows you to connect with new people. The only difference is that this is a global network.
Swipe anonymously finds other people nearby who like you. If you also like them, we make the connection and you can then chat for free! Meet new people without getting spammed by people you aren’t interested in meeting or chatting with. The largest and best FREE app to meet new people and make new friends for flirting, dating, chatting, friendship and fun!
The simple app allows you to build your own online network of friends or lovers or both! You can keep chatting within the app until you feel comfortable enough to move the conversation to phone calls, Skype or face-to-face.
5. EvoMail
Evomail is modern mobile email. Yes, we all have our email on our phones you’re like me with multiple accounts, sometimes you miss things! Evomail gives you quick access to archive, trash, and labels, while giving you the ability to quickly sorting through your email throughout the day as it comes in, instead of having to wait until you’re back at your desktop. You can also use it to attach files from Dropbox and the like!
The best feature? You can snooze your emails any time you want! Currently my email doesn’t allow me to search ALL of my emails via my phone, but Evomail will allow you access to your FULL inbox!
Currently Evomail supports Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud and IMAP email accounts with additional support coming later.
